Our History

The BEREAN BIBLE INSTITUTE was established in 1918 in Melbourne Australia for the dissemination of Bible teachings, mainly by means of printed publications. The Peoples Paper, a quarterly publication was started in 1918 and is still printed today.

The Institute seeks to encourage personal and group study of the Bible, with a view to greater understanding and appreciation of the Divine Plan for human salvation and to personal conformity of life to the will of God as expressed therein. It stresses the need for each one to heed the words of the apostle Paul "Prove all things, hold fast that which is good." (I Thessalonians 5:21).

It is an independent, Australian Incorporated entity, but maintains ties of fellowship and co-operation with similarly minded Bible Student groups and individuals in the United States of America, Great Britain, Europe and other parts of the world.

The Institute offers a range of FREE Booklets on Bible topics, mainly from USA, publishing sources, as well as priced reference Books on the Scriptures.
